Privacy Policy
Effective
This policy explains what ScrollPlate collects, how we use it, and your choices.
1.Information we collect
Account information. Your name and email address from Apple or Google when you sign in, and your Google profile photo if you have one.
Your answers when you start. Your cooking goal, any per-meal target you set, and where you shop. They fill in suggestions you can change, set your store, and feed our analytics.
Content you add. Links, photos and text you import, recipes you save, edits you make, and what you ask our AI features.
Grocery details. Your grocery list, your store and your ZIP code.
Subscription status. Whether you subscribe, and at what price. Apple or Google handles the payment; we never see your payment details.
Usage and device data. How you use the app, crash reports, and your device model, OS, app version and time zone.
Device identifiers. An ID for your device or this install of the app, and a push token if you allow notifications. We don't collect your advertising ID.
IP address. Our servers and providers receive your IP address when the app connects, and it can appear in their logs.
2.How we use information
To run ScrollPlate: importing recipes, nutrition, AI edits, grocery lists and carts, reminders and support. We don't sell your personal information.
When you correct a product match, we remember it for next time. A match three or more people choose the same way improves matching for everyone, without saying who chose it.
3.Imported content and AI processing
To read what you import, write the meals you describe, make the changes you ask for and match your grocery list to your store, we send the content each task needs to Google's Gemini models, through Vercel's AI Gateway. That never includes your name, email address or ZIP code, and they may not use it to train their models. We ask before sending anything, and you can turn it off under You → AI processing; importing, AI edits and list matching then stay off until you turn it back on. Photos and scanned pages you import are kept with their recipe until you delete it.
When you import a public post, we may keep what we read from it, without who imported it, and reuse it when someone else imports the same post.
4.Retailer integrations
To find a Kroger-family store near you and its products and prices, we send Kroger your ZIP code and ingredient names, nothing that identifies you.
When you send a list to Kroger, we keep an encrypted key from your Kroger account that only lets us add items to your cart. Disconnect Kroger or delete your account, and we delete it. Checkout happens at Kroger, under its privacy policy.
6.Retention and deletion
We keep your data while you have an account. Delete it in the app under You → Delete account, or by emailing support@scrollplate.com, and we delete your account, profile, recipes, imports, plans, grocery list and notification tokens. Backups roll off within 7 days.
What stays. Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep past purchase records for billing and tax. Crash reports, analytics events, server logs and email delivery logs stay with our providers until they expire.
7.Children
ScrollPlate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
8.Your choices and rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data by emailing support@scrollplate.com, and use any other rights you have where you live the same way.
9.Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app about significant changes.
